Do you have time constraints, yet still have a desire to backpack the Grand Canyon? Our express tour may be for you! The best part is you’ll still explore much of the popular trails and spots, such as the South Kaibab, Phantom Ranch, Colorado River, Bright Angel Trail, and more! This 2 night tour is designed to see some of the most scenic spots without having to break the time bank. You will traverse over 16 miles, go over 4,500 ft into the canyon and up & over the Colorado River. We will be meeting at Maswik Lodge at 9:30 to begin our expedition. See roundtrip transportation recommendations, such as Groome Transportation from Flagstaff to Maswik (and back) for reasonable cost. Groome Transportation has some routine routes that time nicely with the beginning and end of our tours. Please email us at information@backpackingexcursions.com if you need more details or help with transportation arrangements to the Grand Canyon. We've got much of your gear covered and all your snacks and meals for the duration of the tour. Entrance fees into Grand Canyon National Park and roundtrip transportation from Flagstaff to Grand canyon included! When making a reservation online, you'll be putting $75 down and the balance will be due in full no later than 60 days from the start date of the tour. See FAQ page for more info, or email us! It's important to reserve your spot with us up to 5 months prior to the start of the tour, as the National Park’s permit system fills up fast for the most popular trials. The National Park issues permits on the 1st of the month 4 months prior to the tour start date. Much of the National Park’s availability for permits sell out very fast on the initial lottery, hence it’s a good idea to reserve your spot well in advance. If you’re the first to reserve with out on a specific tour with us, you can also choose your own dates!
